REPORT: Fireball in the sky observed in portions of Ontario

There are multiple reports of a bright light, possibly a meteor, that was accompanied by a large boom observed over Ontario and New York today.

The American Meteor Society says it is blaming a "fireball" for a very loud noise that was observed by several people over New York state at approximately 12:03 p.m. this afternoon.

The AMS's website that tracks sightings of today's event includes one witness report from West Grey, Ontario.

Other locations with witness reports include Kitchener, London, Toronto and Barrie.
