Police investigating fatal single-vehicle collision

The West Grey Police Service continues to investigate a fatal single-vehicle crash.

On Saturday at 1 a.m., West Grey police officers alongside the Hanover Fire Department and Grey County Paramedics responded to a single-vehicle crash on Grey Road 3. Police determined that a 2007 Saturn was travelling northbound on Grey Road 3 when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole before rolling over.

The driver was taken to Hanover District Hospital with minor injuries. However, a 26-year-old passenger from West Grey was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation. Any witnesses are asked to contact the West Grey Police Service at 519-369-3046.
