An eight-year-old and a four-year-old had to airlifted to hospital after a crash involving a horse and buggy and a pick-up truck near Mildmay Wednesday evening.
The crash was reported just after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on Bruce Road 28 just north of McIntosh, Huron Bruce Road.
Firefighters from Mildmay and both Bruce County and Wellington County EMS responded. The two children were taken by Ornge air ambulance to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A section of Bruce Road 28 was closed for most of the night for an investigation which is still ongoing.
