Police execute drug warrant, seize illegal drugs and paraphernalia

Grey-Bruce OPP recently executed a drug search warrant that yielded a sizeable seizure of illegal items.

On August 26th at 12:17 p.m., Grey-Bruce and Huron-Perth OPP Community Street Crime Units, with assistance from the OPP Emergency Response Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a business on Main Street in Sauble Beach, South Bruce Peninsula.

Police seized dried cannabis, packaged cannabis edibles, cannabis oils and creams, cannabis vapour cartridges and marijuana seeds. Officers also seized offence related property and assorted drug paraphernalia. Two people at the business were arrested. The street value of all the items seized is $62,000.

As a result, Grey-Bruce OPP have charged 30-year-old Mustafa Khedri of South Bruce Peninsula with the following offences:

  • Possession Cannabis for the purpose of trafficking, section 10(2) Cannabis Act (CA)
  • Trafficking Cannabis, section 10(1) CA
  • Possession of Nabilone for purposes of trafficking, section 5(2) CDSA
The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.
