ACW mayor puts name in for Huron County warden

The mayor of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has put his name forward to run for warden of Huron County.

Current Warden Jim Ginn recently announced he was not running for another term.

Glen McNeil said he has the support of his family and several members of council and his sole reason for running is to give back to Huron County.

“I was born and Vand and I were married in Huron County and have raised our family. We own and operate our business in Huron County and if there's any way that I can continue to advance Huron County, I am willing to offer my services for that commitment,” said McNeil.

As for the issues, there are two that are outstanding in his mind.

“Broadband. Without a doubt. Unfortunately, it is not in place yet, but it will be in place and I would like to further that for the benefit of all residents of Huron County. We also must be sensitive and address our homelessness issue,” stressed McNeil.

The election of a new warden will take place early in December.
