M.I.C. appoints Dave Shorey as Innovation Officer

The Municipal Innovation Council (MIC) has appointed a new hire to the role of Innovation Officer.

Dave Shorey joins this public sector collaboration from Wilfrid Laurier University.

“MIC partners are thrilled to welcome Mr. Shorey to the table,” said MIC Chair Jessica Linthorne. “Mr. Shorey’s experience in process facilitation and implementing change complements the priority areas of our eight municipal partners.”

With support of the Nuclear Innovation Institute, the MIC has identified transportation, climate change, e-services and waste management as their top four priority areas.

“The MIC provides a unique opportunity to seek out shared solutions to common challenges. We are well positioned to think carefully about the changes that our region is experiencing and be proactive in maximizing the opportunities afforded to us,” said Dave Shorey, Innovation Officer.

Shorey is projected to start August 10, 2020.
