Perth County lifts burn ban

The open air burn ban in Perth County is now lifted.

In a release this morning, Perth County officials say thanks to enough rainfall over the past week, they will now be issuing burn permits again.

Everyone must still adhere to their local municipality's open air burn by-law.

Should we experience more dry weather, officials say they won't hesitate to put the ban back in place.

Farmers are still urged to be very cautious while combining as field fires can quickly overtake equipment.

For more information about open air burns in your area, contact your local municipality.
