Cyclist suffers minor injuries following collision with a car

A cyclist received minor injuries and police laid charges following a collision between a bicycle and car recently in West Perth.

On July 20th at 5 pm, Perth County OPP and the Perth County Paramedic Services responded to a collision at the intersection of Montreal Street and St. Andrew Street in Mitchell. An investigation revealed the cyclist was bumped at low speed by the car as the cyclist was turning onto Montreal Street. The 70-year-old cyclist was taken to local hospital with minor injuries.

As a result, a 43-year-old West Perth resident has been charged with Fail to Yield to Traffic on Through Highway. The accused was issued a Provincial Offences Notice for the offence.
