Tornado confirmed north of Stratford, downbursts in Perth and Wellington counties

It's been confirmed that a tornado touched down in Perth County, near Gads Hill, on Sunday.

A team from the Northern Tornadoes Project out of Western University surveyed the damage Tuesday.

The tornado has been classified as an EF1 with maximum wind speeds of 150 km/h, traveled just over 4 km and was 400 m wide. It cased damage to a farm and trees.

The team also identified downburst damage south of Stratford and in the Palmerston and Arthur areas where wind speeds were between 115 to 120 km/h.
