Goderich beaches closed Sunday

The Town of Goderich is closing beaches Sunday.

The announcement was posted on the town's website Saturday.

The message reads as follows, "Please be advised that due to the required resources to manage the capacity of beachgoers, all beaches in the Town of Goderich will be closed on Sunday, July 19, 2020. While there will be no access to the Cove, the Main Beach will remain open to vehicular traffic only. Beach Street Station and the Beach Hut at the Main Beach will remain open. All beaches in the Town of Goderich will reopen on Monday, July 20, 2020."

Beach access was also slowed on Saturday as the warm weather brought people out.
