Bayfield splash pad about to reopen

Kids in Bayfield could have their splash pad back within the next week.

Bayfield Ward Councillor Bill Whetstone said the much-needed repairs are just about completed.

“All the underground plumbing's been re-done," said Whetstone. "It's all set to go. There's some work going to be done on Monday on the pump house and I think there's also going to be some brickwork that will be finished up and then that's the only things that are left to be done.”

Whetstone said once that's done they can take the fence down and clean up the area.

"So, probably another week I would suggest," he said. "Maybe a little bit more, ten days, before we'll be able to pull the trigger to get it up and running again.”
