Police investigate death of man pulled from lake in Georgian Bay

Southern Georgian Bay OPP are investigating the sudden death of a 40-year-old man who had to be pulled from the water of Six Mile Lake early Sunday morning.

Police, Simcoe Paramedic Services, and Georgian Bay Fire Services responded to a summer residence on the lake at around 4:25 a.m. following a 911 call reporting a man without vital signs.

Police say despite efforts of first responders and area residents, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is not deemed to be suspicious in nature and the investigation is ongoing.
