MVCA opens areas for day use

Conservation areas run by the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority are open for day use.

They've been closed since March because of COVID-19.

In a release, MVCA officials are asking visitors to follow physical distancing recommendations at all times. No social gatherings are permitted and washrooms, playgrounds and picnic shelters remain closed. In addition, no camping or fires will be allowed at Conservation Areas.

Falls Reserve Conservation Area at Benmiller is only open for walking and cycling access. The park gate is closed to vehicle traffic.

Additional information about the reopening is available on the Maitland Conservation website at mvca.on.ca.
