The officer, Constable Timmermans, stopped the vehicle on Perth Road 119 around 4 a.m. on Saturday. A woman in the car was in labour and PC Timmermans began escorting the vehicle to hospital.
Before reaching the hospital, the vehicle pulled over again. The officer helped deliver the baby at the roadside and EMS arrived shortly after. Both mother and baby are said to be doing well.
