Port Elgin BIA to expand events

The Port Elgin Business Improvement Area (BIA) plans to continue their previously successful events, as well as introduce new events.

BIA Coordinator Jordan MacKinnon gave an update to Saugeen Shores council Monday and outlined their strategic plan for 2020.

MacKinnon said their overall goal is to listen to businesses and support the community.

"I think they're getting their bang for their buck, I hope they are," he said. "We're going to try to keep improving on that and keep making sure that business dollars are being well spent."

MacKinnon said there will be lots to look forward to this year, including a breakfast before their annual softball tournament, Halloween activities, and the BIA will be taking a larger role at Shopper's Night.
