The OPP investigation continues into the discovery of human remains a week ago in the Township of Southgate.
The OPP Forensic Identification Services team is assisting the Grey Bruce OPP Crime Unit.
The remains were found on December 24th in the area of Southgate Road 10, east of Highway 6.
A post-mortem examination was conducted on Monday, but no other information has been released.
The OPP Emergency Response Team has been conducting evidence searches in the area.
Local residents can expect an elevated police presence as the investigation continues, but police stress there is no threat to public safety.
