Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP Alex Ruff said the Liberal government's throne speech fell shores of addressing critical issues for rural residents.
In a press release, Ruff said he "was disappointed to see the lack of a plan to unite the country, or to get Canadians back to work in the country's hardest-hit regions."
"Instead of working together to heal regional divides and put national unity at the forefront, the Liberal government continues to foster a greater urban-rural divide," he said.
Ruff said the Liberals campaigned in his riding on rural broadband access during the election, a promise that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appears to have "abandoned."
