The Owen Sound Police Service is currently investigating allegations of sexual misconduct involving a former occasional teacher with the Bluewater District School Board.
The Criminal Investigations Branch arrested 35-year-old Mark Bowers of Owen Sound in connection with historical allegations of sexual assault involving a minor while employed by the school board.
As a result of this investigation, Bowers is facing criminal charges of sexual assault, sexual exploitation and uttering threats. He will appear in Owen Sound court on December 19, 2019.
