Westario reports hydro in Port Elgin is now restored. Westario suggested gusty winds were causing issues.
Hydro One crews have also managed to restore power to customers in the Tiverton area, and for most customers in an area between Cape Croker, Howedenvale and Wiarton.
Power is also out the Dornoch area, near Walters Falls and in parts of Georgian Bluffs. Residents there can expect the electricity to be turned back on between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
In the meantime, a downed tree blocked 13th Street West near 2nd Avenue West in Owen Sound.
