Bruce Power and the Society announced in a release this morning that members voted in a large percentage to ratify the deal. The new deal comes into effect immediately, and features a number of key factors including a four-year term beginning retroactively on January 1, 2019 and ending December 31, 2022 with wages increasing 8.5 per cent over that period.

Bruce Power has also pledged to hire more engineers into positions represented by the Society of United Professionals, and a higher percentage of employees will be given the ability to progress to higher levels within the company.
