Arson investigation at Durham Conservation Area

A fire that was deliberately set caused significant damage to one of the washroom buildings at the Durham Conservation Area.

The damage was discovered Wednesday morning.  The fire had burned itself out overnight Tuesday.

Police said it appears someone set fire to the paper towel dispenser in the female washroom. Flames spread to the walls and the roof. Damage has been estimated at $3,000.

West Grey police are hoping someone who may have information will contact them.
