Perth County OPP wants to address intersection collisions.
Media Relations Constable Barry Cookson said police have been dealing with a high number of collisions at intersections, and quite often, human error is the cause.
"People are disobeying the stop sign or they're proceeding into the intersection before the way is clear. That results in a collision, and sometimes, unfortunately, a fatal collision," he said.
Constable Cookson said police hope to instruct drivers on how to be more attentive to cut down the hundreds of intersection collisions investigated by the OPP every year.
"A larger majority of these collisions are occurring on roadways that are dry, it's sunny, the weather is clear and there really is no apparent reason for the collision to take place," he said.
