Pickup truck in ditch: two charged with impaired

Two Grey County men have court dates in Owen Sound next month after the pickup truck they were in veered off the road and crashed in a ditch.

Shortly after 10:00 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of a pickup off the road in Grey Highlands.    When officers arrived, two farm tractors were also on the scene.

Police learned that one of the men had been the driver of the truck when it entered the ditch.    He had gone to get a tractor to remove it.     The other man was assisting with a second tractor.

Police arrested and charged both men for being impaired while operating their individual tractors.

One of the men was also charged with Fail to Remain at the Scene, and Fail to Report an Accident.

Both were ordered to appear in Owen Sound court on July 18th.
