Summer weather expected into the holiday weekend

With the Canada Day Long weekend approaching, residents of midwestern Ontario are eagerly hoping summer will finally settle in.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Peter Kimbell said we've been experiencing below normal temperatures and generally wet conditions, but he a change is in the wind.

"Temperatures are going to climb substantially by midweek, and stay warm for the rest of the week and probably into the weekend," he said. "We should have a lovely long weekend, and finally enjoy some summerlike temperatures."
