A Brantford man is facing a dozen charges after what police are calling a "three-week crime spree" through parts of Wellington and Perth counties.
It stated on the morning of May 29 at a locked compound on Wellington Road 124 in the Town of Erin. A stolen pickup truck was used to ram open a locked gate, and a side-by-side utility vehicle worth about $18,000 was taken.
The same individual then stopped at a residence just outside the Village of Hillsburgh and stole a pickup truck valued at $20,000. The thief then put $50 worth of gas in the stolen pickup at a gas station on Wellington Road 124, and left without paying.
The thief then stopped at a gas station on Main Street in Harriston and attempted to use a stolen credit to purchase cigarettes. When the credit card was declined, the thief stole those goods and fled.
It's believed the same individual in same pickup truck stole fuel from a gas station on Main Street in Listowel.
A 24-year-old Brantford man has been arrested in connection with the offences. He's facing charges of break and enter, possession of break and enter tools, theft over $5,000, theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property over $5,000, and fraudulent use of a credit card.
