Catch the Ace raffle launched to support Huron Shores Hospice

The popular Catch the Ace progressive raffle lottery will help raise money for Huron Shores Hospice.

The Tiverton and District Lions Club will start selling tickets Tuesday afternoon and the first draw will take place June 25 at the Kings Pearl Pub on King Street in Tiverton.

The person with the winning ticket will choose an envelope containing a playing card from a single deck. If that card is the Ace of Spades, it earns the progressive jackpot along with winning 20% of proceeds from the draw.

If it's not the Ace of Spades, the selected card is destroyed, and the progressive jackpot builds for the next Tuesday's draw.

Once the Ace of spades turns up, the lottery wraps up.

Tickets are available at the Kings Pearl Pub and Eatery, Kwik Way, and Patz Pizza in Tiverton, and at Pentangear in Kincardine.

Draws will be held each Tuesday at 6 p.m. until the Ace of Spades turns up. The draw will run for a maximum of 21 weeks with the final draw December 17 if needed.
