150 per cent price increase for SS Trolley this summer

A large price increase has hit one of Saugeen Shores' most popular tourist attractions.

This summer, it will cost $5 to ride the SS Trolley to get between Port Elgin and Southampton, a 150 per cent increase compared to last year.

Children under the age of five will continue to ride for free.

Since its launch three years ago, over 20,000 passengers have travelled the scenic route which takes riders along the Lake Huron shoreline.

*UPDATE* The new $5 cost includes any rides on the trolley for that day. This price system replaces the previous system, which saw $2 for each trip.
