Teen charged after vehicle crashes into ditch in Huron East

An 18-year-old man is facing several charges after his vehicle left the road and crashed into a ditch in Huron East.

The Ontario Provincial Police said the vehicle entered the ditch on Moncrieff Road just before 10 p.m. on June 7. The vehicle was reportedly being driven erratically prior to the crash.

The driver was given a roadside breather test, which he failed. He was also found to be over the legal limit after providing two more breath samples at police headquarters.

As a result, a Brussels man has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, having a blood alcohol content over 80 milligrams, possessing cannabis under the age of 19, and having a blood alcohol concentration above zero while driving as a novice. His license was also suspended and 90 days.
