St. Marys Catholic School in Listowel is going to be getting bigger
Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece has announced that the school has been approved for an expansion.
“They’re going to add a couple classrooms, and some other spaces including four childcare rooms to the school, so that’s great news," he said.
Pettapiece said this expansion is part of the Conservative’s “Education That Works for You” initiative, and added that he’s pleased that a local school in his riding has been approved for such a significant expansion. He noted that the expansion also includes an EarlyON centre.
“I know the one in Listowel at the public school is full, and there’s quite a demand for these types of spaces, so it was great that they added that to it," he said.
Construction is expected to start soon, and Pettapiece said the project should be completed in time for the new school year.
