WesForYouth Online held their 2nd annual golf tournament Friday at Black Horse Gold club outside Kincardine.
The event was a big success and raised more money toward the online mental health counseling service, and on top of the great day, Executive Director Jenn Mulcaster had some very exciting news to reveal.
'WesForYouth Online had written two proposals to the International Youth Mental Health Conference that's being held in Brisbane, Australia this coming October. We're really happy to announce that both those proposals have been accepted."
WesForYouth will be heading over to attend the conference in Australia this October. Mulcaster also revealed the first quarter registration numbers for this year.
"We had a little over 120 youth register in 120 days, so that's pretty spectacular. In quarter 2, we're already at 101 youth with the remainder of the month left, and if our growth continues, we'll definitely break the 120 mark."
Emma Martin, Community Relations Director for WesForYouth, announced the grand fundraising total for the tournament at just shy of $19,000.
