Over 1,400 people attend Bruce Power March Break Program

Over 1,400 people got a chance to explore nuclear power during a March Break Program at the Bruce Power Visitors' Centre.

Manager of Community Relations Chris Mercanti said the program's popularity bodes well for the upcoming Summer Bus Tour Program, which welcomed over 5,000 visitors in 2018.

He said visitors learned about how the site produces electricity, while also enjoying reptile shows, crafts, outdoor activities, and family movies. There were also robotics demonstrations with the Kinetic Knights Team 781.

Summer bus tours are offered three times a day, seven days a week in July and August, and pre-registration for bus tours begins in May at www.brucepower.com/bustours.

“The response to this year’s March Break Program was overwhelming,” said Mercanti. “The Visitors’ Centre staff did a fantastic job in organizing a program that was of interest to people of all ages, and that was reflected in the record-setting turnout."
