The Owen Sound Police Service has joined a crime prevention campaign.
The You Are Crime Prevention campaign is spearheaded by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police which focuses on raising public awareness on how and what citizens can do to help build safer communities across Ontario. The campaign will release booklets throughout the year with many different ways to raise awareness about many different types of crime.
The OACP will also be releasing a resource document to raise awareness about organized crime in the province. New Owen Sound Police Chief Craig Ambrose announced the partnership on Wednesday.
