Some local communities and rural areas could be in for a few hours of freezing drizzle late this afternoon and this evening.
Precipitation will begin as light snow, followed by a quick transition to sleet or freezing rain. It may end as flurries overnight as the temperature drops slightly.
There is a freezing rain warning in effect for the entire Midwestern Ontario region.
Roads and highways, parking lots and sidewalks will become icy and slippery in places.
Drivers are reminded to slow down, maintain a safe following distance, and watch for taillights ahead.
