Winter weather is back, after the milder temperatures and snowmelt earlier this week.
There is a wind warning for all of the region Friday and a snow squall warning that now includes Perth and Huron counties, as well as Bruce and Grey.
Snow squalls with a strong westerly wind will affect the region today, and continue Friday night and into Saturday. That will result in sudden near zero visibility in bursts of blowing snow.
Westerly wind gusts of 35-50 kilometres per hour will continue through the afternoon, and shift to the northwest and diminish tonight.
Snowfall amounts near 15 centimetres are possible in the strongest snow squalls through the day. A further 10-15 centimetres is possible overnight and into Saturday morning in the heaviest squalls.
Drivers are reminded that weather and road conditions will change within just a few kilometres.
