Central Huron Mayor Elected Huron County's Warden

Central Huron Mayor Jim Ginn was elected to a second two-year term as Huron County Warden at Wednesday's inaugural council meeting.

Ginn feels getting broadband throughout Huron County is his number one priority.

"We're expecting to get some funding announcements from the upper tiers with a month, so it's been a frustrating wait for them to announce some of their infrastructure funding but, nothing we can do to hurry them up, so that's a big one."

Ginn says affordable housing is also a major concern in the county.

"A couple of subdivisions coming in Clinton, and one is still proposed south of Goderich, so there's still developments happening throughout the county and we just need to recognize that we are short of housing, we're short of workers and we need the type of housing that workers can afford to buy."
