Walkerton and Hanover Groups Receive Community Foundation Grants

Community Foundation Grey Bruce is hitting the road this summer.

The Summer Road Show is presenting grant cheques to charities and non-profits who successfully applied for funding.

Presentations will be made Wednesday morning in Walkerton to Bruce Grey Mentorship and the Municipality of Brockton.

Wednesday afternoon in Hanover, grant presentations will be made to Saugeen Valley Children’s Safety Village, South Grey Bruce Youth Literacy Council, Grey Bruce Falcons Special Hockey, and the Grey Bruce Children’s Water Festival.

A total of $188,276 is being granted to projects by 65 charities across Grey and Bruce counties.

An additional $176,378 in grants will be disbursed to charities as directed by individuals and organizations who hold endowment funds at the foundation.

Created in 1994, the Community Foundation Grey Bruce has the mandate to strengthen Grey and Bruce communities through endowment building, grant making and community partnerships.
