Possible Gun-Toting Youth Arrested In Kincardine

Police have made an arrest after a youth was reportedly seen walking down a Kincardine street waving what was believed to be a handgun.

The Ontario Provincial Police say the male youth was spotted walking along on Mechanics Ave. when officers were called to the scene on Friday around 7:15pm.  The extremely agitated youth was confronted by officers with their firearms drawn, near the intersection of Queen St. and Broadway St.

The youth was taken into custody but police have not disclosed if a weapon was recovered. Police say the investigation is still in its early stages.

Due to his age, the youth's name cannot be released as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
