A missing swimmer has been found dead in Belwood Lake in Wellington County.
On July 29, the OPP, Centre Wellington Fire & Rescue and Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Service were called after a Mississauga man disappeared in the water while swimming with friends. They searched for the missing man until dusk.
On July 30, during an extensive search of the area, OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit located the man's body in the area where he went missing. Family members identified him at the scene as 31-year-old Sathees Gnanenthiran of Mississauga.
The office of the coroner is investigating the exact cause of death.
The OPP has confirmed that Gnanenthiran was not wearing a life jacket.
