Some local teams earned hardware at provincial softball tournaments this past weekend.
Shallow Lake won the Ontario Amateur Softball Association's U19 Provincial "A" tournament over the weekend in Owen Sound by defeating Chepstow 5-2 in the final.
Caledonia took home the bronze.
At the "B" tournament, Tara won gold with a 5-2 win over Kitchener-Waterloo. Cambridge won bronze.
At the OASA U14 Provincial "B" tournament in Simcoe, Chatsworth won bronze. New Hamburg took home the Gold and Westport the Silver.
At the Provincial "A" tournament, Shallow Lake earned silver, falling 8-2 to the host team. Springbrook won bronze.
