Mayor Of Kincardine Seeking Re-Election In October

The mayor of Kincardine will be seeking a second term in this fall's election.

Anne Eadie has filed her nomination papers for mayor, and says she hopes to be able to see through progress made when it comes to attracting natural gas companies to Kincardine, as well as updating their strategic plan to be prepared for future growth.

Eadie says "these are exciting times in Kincardine. We are experiencing growth in many areas, businesses are moving in or expanding, retirees want to move here, and families are relocating because of the Major Component Replacement Program at Bruce Power".

Kincardine has seven nominations for councillor positions, but Eadie is currently the only person seeking the mayor's chair in October.
