Bulldogs Earn First Win of the Memorial Cup

The Hamilton Bulldogs out shot the Swift Current Broncos 56-22 en route to a 2-1 victory at the Mastercard Memorial Cup.

Swift Current's Stuart Skinner earned first star honours in the game for his valiant 54 saves performance.

MacKenzie Entwistle was the first to beat the stellar netminder at 5:49 of the first with the man advantage.

The Broncos' Colby Sissons tied the game midway through the second.

Marian Studenic scored the game winner with just over three minutes left in regulation.

The Bulldogs are now 1-1 through round robin and in third place. The Broncos are fourth with a loss and an overtime loss.

Hamilton is back in action tonight at 10 p.m. EDT when they face the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
