Police and paramedics responded to a residence on Vanastra Rd. just before midnight to assist a man. But during an interaction with the man, police determined there were safety concerns for all, and decided to call in specialized units.
OPP negotiators assisted Huron OPP through the night and the man surrendered peacefully around 5:30am Tuesday morning.
Police cleared the scene without incident and Vanastra Rd. has reopened.
