One person is dead and another is charged following a single-vehicle crash in the Township of Perth East.
The Ontario Provincial Police say on Friday just before 8:30pm, officers responded to the collision on Perth Rd. 13 between Perth Line 80 and Perth Line 83.
The passenger of the vehicle had to be extricated by firefighters but was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver was not seriously injured and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
The deceased passenger was identified Saturday afternoon as Gary Keupfer of Minto Township.
The driver, Carl Keupfer, 20, has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and over 80mg of alcohol in blood, causing death.
