Ice Puts Stratford Swan Parade In Doubt

For only the second time in its history, the Stratford swan parade may have to be cancelled.

The City of Stratford’s Community Services Department reports that, due to unexpected ice on the Avon River, the swans will likely not be able to be released on Sunday.

All other activities except than the parade will continue as planned and the swans can be viewed in their winter quarters.

If the ice does disrupt the swan release this weekend, Community Services will try again next Sunday, April 15.
