Snow Removal In Blyth Comes To North Huron Council

The Village of Blyth is calling for more snow removal from the downtown area.

Following prompts from the Blyth Business Improvement Area, North Huron Councillor Brock Vodden says he will bring up a motion at the municipality's next regular council meeting that will call for full snow removal coverage in Blyth.

Currently, Blyth receives snow removal only three days per week, despite large snowfalls that could happen over the course of several days. Vodden says this is to save money.

However, this winter saw very large snowbanks accumulate along Blyth's main street, where there were several incidents of people with mobility issues having to clear snow themselves to access sidewalks.
