Wingham Police Discussion

A special meeting will be held in tonight regarding the policing in North Huron.

North Huron must respond to an Ontario Provincial Police costing proposal by March 25th.

The options at this point are to go with OPP entirely in the North Huron area, maintain the status quo, or have Blyth and East Wawanosh policed by an expanded Wingham Police Service.

North Huron Councillor Trevor Seip says he will call for an exemption at tonight's council meeting, so members of the public can ask members of council questions directly.

Tonight's meeting is at 7:00pm in the theatre above North Huron's council chambers in Wingham.
