Conserve Water Notice For Kincardine And Area

Residents in Kincardine and surrounding areas are being asked to conserve water this week.

The Kincardine Water Treatment Plant will be undergoing a system upgrade.    The water plant will be offline from Tuesday to Friday and water will be supplied from the Huron-Kinloss Municipal well system.

Customers serviced by the Kincardine Water Treatment Plant - including the former Town of Kincardine, Huronville, and the pipeline to Inverhuron - are being asked to conserve water to ensure the well system can keep up with the demand.

Users are advised that the water pressure could be different, and the water may have a different taste and colour.    It's because the water from the Huron-Kinloss wells has higher levels of naturally occurring sodium and fluoride.
