Make sure you give yourself some extra time if you're driving very far on Thursday, because it is slow going across many parts of the region.
Some areas got as much as 10 cm of snow overnight. There are several narrow bands of steady snow across parts of Bruce, Huron and Perth counties.

Environment Canada is tracking another storm system that has the potential to drop a significant amount of snow across the region Thursday night and Friday.
Meteorologist Geoff Coulston says if these bands of snow lock-in from the northwest off of Lake Huron, it could be possible for some areas to get well over 20 cm by Friday. There is a snow squall warning for Huron and Perth counties.

Public health officials have issued cold weather alerts that will remain in place until Saturday.
