Elizabeth Alder, 57, was found dead in a home on Christmas Day.
A 17-year old male was arrested and charged with second-degree murder Wednesday afternoon. He was found in the Waterloo area.
Due to the suspect's age, police have not released his identity as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The teen will be in court on Thursday.
