TransCanada Turbine Gets $5.9 Million Bruce Power Deal

A $5.9 million dollar deal between Bruce Power and TransCanada Turbine will help ensure standby generators are ready in the event of a power loss.

Over the next five years, Bruce Power will be working to improve the Avon engines, power turbines, main reduction gearboxes, and electrical generators.

"Our team is thrilled to be able to continue our long working relationship with the Bruce Power facility," says Darcy Simonelli, Vice President, TransCanada Turbines.   "The award of this new contract is a very significant event for our Canadian operations team who are extremely proud to be involved in the maintenance and support of critical Canadian infrastructure."

Bruce Power CEO and President Mike Rencheck says the improvements are imperative to ensure safe operations at the site.
